Make it a Point to Eat Healthier This Month...and All Year Round!

Did you know that November is the month for eating healthy? It’s true – November is National Good Nutrition Month and there are plenty of ways that you can get into the act of eating well and taking care of your body.

So what are the benefits of good nutrition? Well for starters, eating well ensures that your body is properly nourished. When you give your body fuel that’s packed with all of the essential nutrients, you’re powering up your body to perform all of its functions at its best. Plus, when you eat healthy, you often feel better and sometimes, lose weight!

This month, make it a point to eat out less and to choose healthier foods. Cut down on the sugary, salty, and fatty foods that you normally snack on. Drink more water (it’s great for clear skin!). Eat lean, organic, free-range protein and lots of whole fresh fruit and vegetables! (Limit your grains, remember ancient man did not eat grains to survive.) Supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals. Practice smart portion control. These are just a few of the ways that you can improve your diet while ensuring that you don’t lose out on an ounce of flavor. Trust us – healthy foods can be just as delicious and they’re most definitely more nutritious.
